So, my laptop went and died an expensive death. After a week and a half of combined waiting to hear from the shop and then wallowing in indecision regarding what I'd replace it with, I finally got a Toshiba, which I have unimaginatively named Satellite, that I think will do well. I deeply resent being forced to use Windows 7, but so it goes. The hardware is nice, at least.

SakuraCon was iffy, but I had a good time, at least. I got many, many photos from it, which were fortunately not lost in the death of Computarr. You'll hopefully be seeing some of those in a few days.

I've started a new treatment for my neck that has already been working wonders. I can turn my head and my pain is significantly reduced. It's amazing to finally feel on track to being well again.

Finally, I just want to announce that over the next few weeks I'm going to be moving to a new account, ~apeacebone. This is just because I've grown tired of the username associated with this account and over the last year or so, it's gotten phased out of most of my internet interactions as I've signed up for new services or renamed old ones. Since dA has no rename feature of which I'm aware, I'll be moving. Please watch ~apeacebone if you want to continue to follow me. I'll announce again once I've uploaded everything there, so if you want to avoid having tons of old photography thrown at you, you can wait to watch it until then.

~apeacebone will be all-photography, unlike this which is a mix of photography and graphic art and drawing, since I've been feeling the need to narrow it down to what I see as my greatest artistic strength. This account won't be deleted or anything, it just won't be used anymore.
